Frequently Asked Questions

The box measures between 25 and 35 cm and always has a square shape with one corner cut at a 45-degree angle. When installing such a box within the door frame, and if the box lowers the driveway level, it affects the entry height.

The bottom rail is permanently fixed in the guides and does not roll up into the box, which ensures smooth opening and closing of the door. The bottom rail, along with its seal, is always seated in the guide and is about 7–10 cm long.

In other words, to calculate the final size of the box—for example, 30 cm—you should add about 10 cm for the bottom rail.

It is not classified as a warm door. However, it does not freeze either. For example, it is less insulated than a sectional door, as the sectional door panel is 40 mm thick, while the roller door is only 20 mm thick.

Yes, there is an option for emergency manual opening. All our drives installed in roller doors are equipped with an emergency opening mechanism called NHK (Hand Crank Drive), which allows the door to be opened manually.

There are two mounting options for this emergency opening: inside or outside the building.

If the door is mounted outside, the box contains a lock cylinder. In this case, the user can turn the lock, remove the cylinder, insert the crank, and open the door manually.

For doors installed inside the building, the same mechanism as used in awnings is applied, allowing the door to be opened in an emergency.

A sectional door is often a better choice due to its steel components, which provide durability and strength.

On the other hand, a roller door’s curtain moves down by gravity within the guides, and its drive is mounted on a tube that controls the rolling of the curtain.

However, in some situations where installing a sectional door is not feasible, a roller door becomes the only available solution.

Our doors use hanger-locks — rigid hangers that, once the door is closed and the curtain lowered, permanently lock the connection between the tube and the curtain. As a result, the curtain cannot move freely.

Therefore, although outsiders might attempt to lift the door, the hanger-lock will still perform its function. However, it is recommended to avoid using excessive force or tools that could damage, break, or forcibly open the door.

Yes, safety devices can be installed on the door, although this is rarely done for private customers. It is more common in industrial settings.

If the photocell safety device detects a car or bicycle under the door, the door will not close.

Yes, they are available in wood-effect colours. Examples include oak, walnut, shades of pine, Winchester wood, and mahogany.
